KPR Lucky Lunch Review
A perfect pocket of authentic Spanish tapas in the busy streets of historic Farringdon where myself and three colleagues enjoyed a fabulous and very filling KPR lucky lunch – even though our resident ‘Little’ Emma claims she could still pack more away!
As soon as you walk in you are enveloped in the décor: luxe meets butchers, meets social society.
The waitress led us to our table, walking through the more casual bar section of the restaurant, where you see authentic cuts of typically Spanish meats, standing proudly on display.
Our table/booth was comfortable and we went straight onto checking out what the menu had to offer. Before leaving us to gander, the helpful waitress checked to see if we’d been to the restaurant before and if we needed any assistance before swiftly dashing off to her next table.
As I had visited the restaurant a few times before, I was keen to show my colleagues the wonderful and extensive menu, explaining that we each needed to select 3-4 tapas each from each of the ‘From the land’, ‘from the sea’, ‘vegetables’, ‘eggs & croquettes’. Something for everyone right! That’s the beauty of Iberica.
The serrano ham & cheese croquettes are my all-time favourite – so we HAD to order a large platter of them (12 in total), which we complimented with patatas bravas, squid and aioli dip, sweet aubergine, fish and chips, mini burgers and chickpea chicken.
Once ordered the waitress suggested some traditional Spanish wines that would complement the meal – but this time, as we were on our lunch, we decided to stick to water and just enjoy the food to its maximum potential.
A fabulous meal that just kept on giving – the joys of tapas! Top notch service in a wonderfully welcoming and total chic surrounding. Ambience #onfleek
